Last year, the Westchester Coalition for Drug and Alcohol Free Youth, in partnership with more than 20 coalitions and municipalities throughout the county, proclaimed April 20 as Healthy Teen Brain Day. The day, 420, has become associated in pop culture with marijuana use, so Pelham PACT and other coalitions used the day to honor teens who are making the decision not to use drugs and alcohol.

This year, on Thursday, April 20, anti-drug coalitions across Westchester County will once agin come together to celebrate the majority of young people who are making the brain-healthy choice to remain marijuana free. On April 20, a giant inflatable brain will be set up at the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital in Valhalla, where visitors can walk through and learn more about the ways marijuana affects the brain of children, teens, and youth. Coalitions will also gather at 4:00pm for a news conference about healthy teen brain day. More information is in the image below!
