Pelham PACT Attends CADCA Conference in Washington, D.C.

On February 5th-7th, Pelham PACT joined several Westchester coalitions in attending the Annual CADCA conference in Washington, D.C. The mission of CADCA, which stands for Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America, is to strnegthen the capacity of local coalitions to create and sustain healthy, drug-free communities. 

The conference brought together stakeholders from across the country who are committed to sharing best practices for substance use prevention. Executive Director Laura Caruso represented Pelham PACT and had the opportunity to learn effective strategies for communication, fundraising and community outreach that will broaden Pelham PACT’s impact in the community. The conference included visits to Capital Hill to meet with Congresswoman Nita Lowey (D-NY), Congressman Eliot Engel (D- NY) and Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) to make the case for increased funding for prevention to support communities througout New York.
