Pelham PACT’s spring Town Hall event has been re-scheduled for Tuesday, March 21, at 7:30pm at The Picture House. We will be screening the award-winning documentary Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age, followed by a panel discussion facilitated by Sharon Charles, a social worker on staff at Pelham Middle School. This FREE event is sponsored by PACT, Pelham Community Care Center, the Pelham Middle School PTA, and the Pelham Memorial High School PTA. A special thanks to The Picture House for providing the space for this event.
Screenagers, which came out in 2016, takes a look at the way digital media has impacted family life—including the director’s own—and depicts messy struggles over social media, video games, academics, and internet addiction. Through surprising insights from authors and brain scientists, solutions emerge on how we can empower kids to best navigate the digital world. Watch the trailer below.
Parents in Pelham have been discussing this issue for a while, so we at PACT are excited to bring this thought-provoking documentary to our community and make it free and open to everyone. Plan to attend this FREE event on Tuesday, March 21 at 7:30pm at The Picture House.
This event was originally planned for Tuesday, March 14, but was re-scheduled to the 21st due to the weather.
